Quick update before I get back to working on all this projects. Here’s what I’ve been up to those days and what I’m focusing on in the next few weeks.

Welcome to Fayamatt Blog…

Version… I can’t remember how many times I’ve started over this blog. 🙈

I think I have had this domain (fayamatt.com) since 2013 🤔 and it has been in french, in english. I posted, weekly, monthly, daily… and not. Anyway, it has been a mess. 🤕

In the last 2 years, I’ve been learning a lot about blogging, writing, wordpress, SEO (basically making your website rank on Google) and more…

Now I hope I finally get the right recipe. Let say I've got some basic knowledge that will allow me to avoid making the same dumb mistakes. All I got to do is keep posting, and learn a bit more at each post. I can't wait to share all the stories I have in stock. 🙃

I’ve written so much content about my life as an expat in Bangkok, my travels, my short experience as an entrepreneur, the crazy stories from my work at MojoSons… It’s time to edit all this text and share it with the world.

There's a lot coming up in many different topics. I'm gonna do my best to keep fun and interesting. It needs to get out of my head and my notebook anyway. Even if if only helps one person out there, it's worth it.

Learning Thai

Starting with Reading Thai.

That’s it, I finally committed some money and time to learn read Thai. 📖 🤓

I'm lucky to get a Thai Teacher at my co-working space. So I'm learning with the incredible Kru Jan. (Kru means teacher, her name is Jan) 😇

Since last Monday I started the course. It's 3 lessons each week for 5 weeks. Each lesson is 2 hours so it's a total of 30 hours. That should give me the basis to learn overtime.

Learning Thai is tough though. I’m not gonna lie. I suck at it. 😆

But I’ll make it. It’s gonna be 2 years in April that I’m living in Thailand, it’s about time I learn to communicate in the local language.

So expect a few funny videos with me (trying) to read or speak Thai. 😂 Of course you’re welcome to laugh at me. I’m not expecting less from you.

But I know too that when you come to visit, you’ll be delighted when I take you to Thai places. So Stay tuned. 😉

Working on an online Income

Making a somewhat “passive income” online have been a goal of mine for the last 6 years. I’ve been spending a lot of time studying the subject and the different possibilities to make some 💲💸 online.

Being an influencer, building a drop shipping business, doing affiliate marketing, freelancer gigs, helping business with their online marketing, community management…

Options are endless, but I takes time and a lot of reflection to find the right one for you. And let’s be honest, I’ve been procrastinating a lot. 🙈

Those days, even if MojoSons is doing good and some month are awesome, we have no regular income. One month can suck and the next one be amazing. We never know how much we’re gonna make, but we know how much we need each month to pay the bills. 🤔

So my goal for the next 2 to 3 months is to make enough money to pay my bills (about 1,000$ each month, I’ve got a post on my cost of living in Bangkok coming up soon). I already picked the option I’m gonna use to make it. Now let’s put in the work and see how it goes. 🏋️‍♀️

If some of you are interested in all this online business / online income stuff, let me know in the comment. I’ll be happy to write a post once in a while to share with you my results and the resources that helped me. 😉

Work Hard, Stay Focus, waiting for the Play Hard part…

Time to keep the head down and work hard.

I won’t lie, my demon is kicking me. 😈 I miss the bars, the clubs, the parties… 🎉 but I’ve no money and I’m tired of having nothing to cover my bills every months. 🤑

Someone said

“You can either complain or create, you can’t do both.”

That shit is so true.

So I picked my side. I shut my mouth and get to work. After all, if a kid at 16 can make thousands of dollars of Amazon with their affiliate program, why can’t I?

What about you? What you’re up to? What are your goals at the moment? Need someone to kick your ass to follow through?

Let me know in the comments or on Twitter @fayamatt.

PS: I’ve been watching Ben Francis videos last weekend. He started GymShark in his parent’s house at 19 and took it in 5 years to a 100 Million $$ business. Impressive and inspiring.

What I’ve been Listening to on Spotify:

Migos last Album "Culture II" is a killer. I've been listening to it over and over in the last 2 weeks, probably at least once a day 😲

What I’ve been watching on Netflix:

Gad Elmaleh, American Dream. Gad is one of the most famous comedian in France and I got so much respect for him for taking the risk to start all over, in a different language. Great show.

Sneakerheadz, a documentary made by Complex on the hype around Sneakers and collectors

Talking about great Comedy Shows:

Marlon Wayans - Woke-Ish

Chris Rock - Tamborine. Especially the part on couples
